Key design highlights include:

  • A robust colour-infused back glass that’s available in five captivating colours: pink, yellow, green, blue, and black.
  • A textured matte finish on the back glass for a luxurious feel.
  • An aerospace-grade aluminium frame with a contoured edge for ergonomic comfort.
  • The enduring Ceramic Shield front cover that’s tougher than ever.

Size and Display: Super Retina XDR for Exceptional Visuals

Available in two size options, 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, the iPhone 15 series introduces Dynamic Island—an innovative way to interact with important alerts and Live Activities.

The Super Retina XDR display offers:

  • HDR brightness reaches up to an impressive 1600 nits, ensuring HDR photos and videos look better than ever.
  • A peak outdoor brightness of up to 2000 nits, twice as bright as the previous generation, for easy visibility even in direct sunlight.

Photography Excellence

Camera System: Capturing Moments with Precision

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come equipped with an advanced camera system that empowers users to capture everyday moments and cherished memories with exceptional detail and quality. The camera system boasts:

  • A powerful 48MP Main camera with a quad-pixel sensor and 100 per cent Focus Pixels for fast autofocus.
  • A new 24MP super-high-resolution default setting, delivering incredible image quality at a practical file size.
  • An additional 2x Telephoto option, providing users with three optical zoom levels (0.5x, 1x, 2x)—a first for an iPhone dual-camera system.

Next-Generation Portraits: Sharper and More Vivid

The iPhone 15 series introduces next-generation portraits, featuring sharper detail, more vivid colours, and improved low-light performance.

Users can now take portraits without needing to switch to Portrait mode.

When a person, dog, or cat is in the frame, or when a user taps to focus, the iPhone automatically captures depth information.

This allows users to turn photos into stunning portraits later in the Photos app on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Night Mode Enhancements and Smart HDR: Better Low-Light Photography

Shooting at night gets even better with improvements to Night mode, including sharper details and more vivid colours.

In situations with bright or uneven lighting, new Smart HDR technology ensures true-to-life skin tones, brighter highlights, richer midtones, and deeper shadows when viewed in the Photos app.

What’s more, these advanced HDR rendering capabilities are also available to third-party apps, elevating the quality of shared images online.

Powerhouse Performance with A16 Bionic

A16 Bionic Chip: Driving the Future

At the heart of the iPhone 15 series lies the A16 Bionic chip—a marvel of engineering that powers the phone’s dynamic features and computational photography capabilities. The A16 Bionic chip offers:

  • A 6-core CPU with two high-performance cores that use 20 per cent less power and four high-efficiency cores.
  • A 5-core GPU with 50 per cent more memory bandwidth for smooth graphics during video streaming and gaming.
  • A 16-core Neural Engine capable of nearly 17 trillion operations per second, facilitating faster machine learning computations.

iPhone 15 Safety and Connectivity Features

Enhanced Safety Capabilities: Your Peace of Mind

Apple understands the importance of safety, and the iPhone 15 lineup offers several features to provide assistance when it matters most. These include:

  • Crash Detection: This feature can detect crashes and offer assistance.
  • Emergency SOS via Satellite: Available in 14 countries and regions on three continents, this feature has made a significant impact in users’ lives.
  • Roadside Assistance via Satellite: In the U.S., users can connect to AAA when experiencing car trouble in areas with no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

USB‑C Connector: Universal Charging and Data Transfer

Both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with a USB‑C connector, a universally accepted standard for charging and data transfer.

This means you can use the same cable to charge your iPhone, Mac, iPad, and the updated AirPods Pro (2nd generation).

Users can even charge AirPods or an Apple Watch directly from their iPhone with the USB‑C connector.

Precision Finding and Ultra Wideband Chip: Stay Connected

Both models feature the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, allowing two iPhone devices with this chip to connect at three times the range as before.

This opens up a new way to use Precision Finding for Find My Friends, enabling users to share their location and find each other even in crowded places.
